The guiding concept for “Topological Skew” is to exhibit art works that reference both more formal topographic mapping approaches as well as a more oblique or skewed usage of interior topological mappings. The premise is that this artwork is done in response to delineating a territory and the specific modes or territorial transcription processes can range from the painstakingly exact to a more abbreviated jotting, from drawing to sculpture to digital and the artwork is drawn from artists who create images that are related to mapping but not in the literal sense.
