“The Clerestory Pages”

The Clerestory Pages is a set of context-specific works created by John O’Brien to accompany the Boston Court production of “My Barking Dog.” These works (painting and sculpture) were created in collaboration and in conversation with the play director, Michael Michetti, and the curator, Gabriel Cifarelli, and while they reflect the poetics of O’Brien they also focus on aspects of this theatrical work such as performance art, translating from written pages to live action and movement and the issues of how visual and verbal meanings are often unexpectedly misleading.
